Information about the Board

The members of the Island's Partnership Board have set up this website. The information on this website will help people to work together and make life better for people with a learning disability and their carers.

The Partnership Board has been set up by the Isle of Wight Council and has people from over 30 local groups on it. It also includes people with a learning disability and carers.

The groups who attend can make their own decisions, but they should listen to what the Partnership Board has to say about what they do. This is because the Board helps everyone to see the 'bigger picture' about what needs to be done.

This website will get bigger and better as the Board members and other people use it. Ideas about how it can be made better can be sent to martin.johnson@iow.gov.uk

- Encourage, enable and help people to have a voice and take risks.
- With training and support, enable people to reach and take responsibility or their chosen dreams, needs and hopes,
- Shape our services to create new opportunities.
