Mr David Pugh

Welcome to My Website

David PughAs the elected member for Shanklin Central, it is my role to represent those living within the ward on the Isle of Wight Council. I live locally myself - in the town centre.

My primary function as a councillor is to act on behalf of the residents of Shanklin Central, and the news on this website focuses on issues relevant to the town in this regard.

Aside from my local duties, I am also the Leader of the Council, with Cabinet responsibility for housing, leisure and governance.

I was elected in May 2005 and my term of office lasts until May 2009. I am delighted and honoured that my neighbours in the town have put their faith in me to be their representative on the Island’s authority. I am working hard to provide a strong and effective voice for all of the residents of Shanklin Central, on a whole range of issues.

If you live in the Shanklin Central ward, please take the opportunity to contact me, in confidence, on any matter relating to council business with which you would like assistance or advice. I can be reached at home on 868614, at County Hall on 821000 or on my mobile on 07779 999808 - and by email - david.pugh@iow.gov.uk.
