I cannot believe that I am now half way through my third year as County Councillor for Ventnor West - it is a wonderful job and I am thoroughly enjoying the many challenges. I particularly enjoy the three committees I sit on - Licensing as Chair, Planning as Vice Chair, and as a member of the Safer Communities Commission where I am at present looking at the IOW Act. As a Group, we are looking very carefully at our Island's Education system, and I would be very pleased to hear from any resident regarding the proposals.
Although I have attended a number of 'Beat Surgeries' with our local police, I do not hold regular surgeries for residents, but I am always very pleased to visit you if you have any concerns or questions, so please do not hesitate to contact me.

Biography:	I was educated at Watford Grammar School for Girls annd then took a bi-lingual secretarial course at the Institut Francais du Royaume Uni, South Kensington. From there I went to Italy for 14 months to learn Italian. I returned to London in 1979, and had a number of jobs mainly in the food and catering industry, and in particular enjoyed running Ciao Italia G.B., the Association of Italian Restaurateurs in Great Britain for a number of years. We came to the Isle of Wight in 1994 to bring up our two daughters in a safer and healthier environment, and I keep the accounts of our business, working from home.
