Finance - Introduction

Isle of Wight Supporting People currently makes payments to providers under two different types of contracts.

Depending on the type of contract that providers have, they will receive different documentation relating to their payment. Each provider will receive a monthly remittance advice to accompany each payment, which is sent from the Isle of Wight Council.

This is a receipt to notify providers that monies have been paid into their account. The payment received is in for four weeks in advance.

Block Subsidy
Block subsidy contracts are for those providers whose services exceed two years, such as sheltered schemes.

Block Gross
Providers will receive thirteen equal payments across the year, relating to the annual contract amount. Block gross contracts are for those providers, whose services run no longer than two years, such as refuges, hostels, floating support etc.
