Music from the Movies - Reel to Reel at the Ventnor Winter Gardens, Pier Street, Ventnor. - Thursday 26 June 2008 to Tuesday 26 August 2008 from 7:30 pm

Ventnor Theatre Group presents a family show of well known songs, dances and music from the movies, past and present. Performances on 26th, 27th, 28th June at 7.30 and 29th June at 2.30pm. Then through the summer on Tuesday nights (15th 22nd, 29th July and 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th August 2008) From 007 to Ghostbusters there will be something for everyone!

Thursday 10/17/24/31 July Making Waves Last year’s Progression Sessions saw bands play the big stage and get interviewed on IW Radio. This year, bands are to also be recorded with plenty more opportunities and slots on offer for other events. With 48 bands appearing, this is the most ambitious project for bands yet and the Development Suite hopes it continues to raise the bar for the island music scene... 7.30pm-11pm 14+ with a responsible adult.

WildZone - Tennyson Down Bug Hunt & Tree Trackers at the Meet at NT High Down chalk pit Car Park (SZ 324855) - Wednesday 23 July 2008 from 1:30 pm

The Big Pedal Challenge is raising funds for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Using a 16 seat bike there will be 18 team rides in four locations, over the two days. It is hoped that it will be a good spectator event, displaying a carnival like atmosphere. Many of the riders will be in fancy dress.There may even be a chance to buy a ride if teams are not complete. Why not come along and support this worthwhile cause and have some fun at the same time.
